The ideal candidate will thrive in a product driven design workplace and has a strong desire to build form the ground up. You will be responsible for the planning, implementation and the growth of the cloud infrastructure. You will need to flourish as part of a growing team and be able to communicate effectively to other engineers, QA, and product management.
Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting on any database issues (principally Oracle Environment), performance analysis, ensuring database security, evaluating new database trends and technologies, developing and testing Unix shell scripts, PERL scripting and coding required for database administration and associated database tools
Work as part of a team to design and develop code, scripts, and data pipelines that leverage structured and unstructured data integrated from multiple sources
Look to leverage reusable code modules to solve problems across the team, including Data Preparation and Transformation and Data export and synchronization
Design and develop automated test cases that verify solution feasibility and interoperability, to include performance assessments
Tuning the Oracle database for optimal performance in large scale / big data environment
Performing upgrades of the database and software to new release levels
Starting up and shutting down the database
Planning for backup and recovery (Control Files, Redo Logs, Rollback Segments, System Data Files, etc) of database information. Maintaining archived data on tape. Backing up and restoring the database (On-line and Complete)
Managing the database's storage structures
Managing users and security
Managing schema objects, such as tables, indexes, and views
Making database backups and performing recovery when necessary
Proactively monitoring the database's health and taking preventive or corrective action as required
Monitoring and tuning performance of Oracle database
Qualifications and Experience
Oracle Database 19 Database Administration
Experienced in database tuning to improve process efficiency
Oracle DBA experience with Oracle 19c, 12c, Oracle 11g on Unix/Linux/Solaris platform (Linux Preferred)
Experience working with Oracle Rman
Experience using monitoring tools such as: Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), TOAD, Unix/Linux shell scripts for monitoring, Prometheus, Netcool, NetBackup, and Recovery Point
Experience with data labeling
Experience with Oracle database Security Hardening
Experience monitoring and administering security including credential management, auditing access, and checking for security problems.
Experience with regulations/ compliance for IRS PUB 1075 system, application, and data issues
